Edamame: Virginia Bred and Grown vegetable type soybeans

Moon Cake and Randolph
Edamame Seed
are now available!
Organically Grown,
Classically Bred, Non GMO
Two Highly Nutritious and Delicious Varieties produce large, sweet beans on prolific plants with pretty pods and an all around nice appearance.
Moon Cake is tall and indeterminate. The indeterminate aspect of Moon Cake soybean is a bonus for gardeners. When the weather cooled a bit, it just took off and grew another bunch of pods. Moon Cake has white flowers and gray pubescence. Seeds are elongate with shiny lustrous yellow seed coats and light buff colored hila.
Randolph was classically bred by Dr. Tadesse Mebrahtu at Virginia State University and is named after the university’s research farm. Favored in the 2006 taste test funded by a SARE Grant, Randolph is delicious and a bit ‘meatier’ in flavor than some Edamame types. Pretty plants, pods and beans. Group VI maturity. Randolph’s determinate production and 56 cm height makes is suitable for farmers who will harvest it by machine or by hand.
